The Contemporary Non-Fiction Literature with Theme of a Man

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na současnou uměleckonaučnou literaturu pro děti a mládež s tematikou člověka a její didaktický potenciál pro výuku Českého jazyka a literatury na prvním stupni základních škol. Teoretická část práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních kapitol, které definují uměleckonaučnou literaturu a charakteristiky čtenářů mladšího školního věku. Výzkumná část práce obsahuje přehled dvaceti titulů českých a překladových, z nichž čtyři jsou vybrány pro podrobnější analýzu. Analýza zohledňuje otázky určení cílové skupiny čtenářů, zobrazení tématu v textové a výtvarné rovině, způsob předávání poznatků, poměr informací a beletrizačních postupů i funkce knihy ve čtenářství. Cílem analýzy jednotlivých titulů je na základě zjištěných specifik navrhnout jejich didaktické využití v hodinách Českého jazyka a literatury na prvním stupni základní školy, a tím žákům představit uměleckonaučnou literaturu jakožto zajímavý a hodnotný žánr.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on contemporary non-fiction literature for children and youth with theme of a man and its didactic potential for teaching Czech language and literature at primary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two main chapters, which define non-fiction literature and the characteristics of readers of younger school age. The research part of the thesis contains an overview of twenty Czech and translated titles, four of which are selected for a more detailed analysis. The analysis takes into account the issues of determining the target group of readers, the depiction of the topic in textual and artistic terms, the way knowledge is conveyed, the relationship between information and fiction, and the function of the book in reading. The aim of the analysis of the individual titles is to propose their didactic use in Czech language and literature lessons at primary school on the basis of the identified specifics, thus introducing non-fiction literature to pupils as an interesting and valuable genre.
