Social exclusion of elderly people who cannot move easily in the home environment

Abstract:

V této práci se zaměřuji na seniory, kteří žijí sami ve svém domácím prostředí a jsou v různé míře omezeni na pohybu. Zkoumám, jak si zajišťují péči o svoji osobu, jak naplňují svoje vyšší potřeby a jestli se cítí být sociálně vyloučení. Dalším cílem je zjistit jejich informovanost o sociálních službách a jak bychom jim mohli pomoci v jejich případné izolovanosti od okolí. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na vývoj v období stáří, pojem sociálního vyloučení a sociálního vyloučení seniorů. Dále hledám možnost pomoci a prevence formou sociálních služeb. V praktické části provádím vlastní kvalitativní výzkum metodou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, kdy zjišťuji pohled vybraných respondentů na svůj současný život. Oslovení senioři se sociálně vyloučení necítí, větší obavu mají ze zhoršení zdravotního stavu a soběstačnosti.

Abstract:

In my thesis I focus on the old people who live alone in their home environment and who suffer from limited mobility. I study how they manage to look after themselves, how they fulfill their higher needs and if they feel to be socially excluded. Another goal is to analyse their awareness of social services and to find out how we could help them with their potential isolation. In theoretical part I will focus on the development in the period of old age, the term of social exclusion and social exclusion of old people. I will also search for the possibility of help and prevention by social services. In practical part of my thesis there will be performed the qualitative research through the method of half-structured interviews where I will find out the point of view of selected respondents to their own lives. The old people that participated in my research do not feel socially excluded, they are more afraid of health problems and self-sufficiency.
