Names of Loom Components in Croatian and Czech: A Comparative Study
Abstract:
Tématem práce je etymologický výklad názvů částí tkalcovského stavu v chorvatštině ve srovnání s češtinou. Pomocí onomaziologické analýzy jednotlivých termínů a s použitím metody Wörter und Sachen je zjišťován původ a stáří názvů a také jejich sémantický vývoj. Část analyzovaných názvů spadá do období praslovanského a další část je až výsledkem pozdějšího vývoje chorvatštiny (a češtiny).
Abstract:
Topic of this thesis is the etymological analysis of the names of the different parts of loom in Croatian and in comparison with Czech. It’s possible to search out the origin and age of those names by means of the onomasiological analysis of the terms and of the method „Wörter und Sachen“.
