International Investments in the Real Estate Industry

Abstract:

This study examines how international investors impact real estate brokerage firms and analyzes how these investments influence pricing trends, market dynamics, and brokeragestrategies. The findings reve-al that foreign buyers affect thedemand significantly in key US states; although accounting for 1.8 % of US real estate transactions, foreign investors pay a higher median purchase price compared to domestic investors. Brokerage firms catering to this demographic must offer specialized services such as multilingual support, digital tools, and re-location assistance to attract global clients, and be well-positioned in this tough market. However, diversification is necessary to overcome risks posed by affordability challenges and regulatory restrictions. The research highlights that global investors play a key role in the success of real estate brokerage firms while also highlighting the need for adapting business strategies in a dynamic market.
