Analysis of Quality of Provided Services at the Selected Hotel in the Upper Austrian Tourism Area

Abstract:

The diploma thesis provides a comprehensive overview of Pyhrn - Priel tourism in Upper Austria and is devoted to the satisfaction of visitors with services provided in one of the selected hotels. The aim of the diploma thesis is to estimate the quality of services provided in the selected hotel in Upper Austria. The evaluation of the satisfaction of the hotel guests with the provided services is verified by quantitative research. Respondents who were involved in the survey had to meet the specific criteria and comply with established pre-notification requirements in order for the questionnaire to be free of devaluation or distortion of the information provided. The diploma thesis is divided into three main parts, which are then divided into chapters and subchapters. The elaboration of the theoretical - methodological part is based on a thorough study of the available literature of domestic and foreign authors and clarifies the reader 's studied topic on the professional side. The analytical part examines the development of tourism in the region of Pyhrn - Priel in the monitored period 2011/2017 as well as in its individual municipalities and deals with the quality of the services provided in the selected hotel in the Upper Austria region. The detailed interpretation of the Austrian quality classification system as well as the evaluation criteria put the finishing touches to the complete picture of the diploma thesis. The final part consists of suggestions to improve the situation in which the author will try to contribute to the attractive development of tourism in the region, as well as the improvement of the services provided in the selected hotel in the mentioned tourist area.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca ponúka ucelený prehľad o hornorakúskej oblasti cestovného ruchu Pyhrn – Priel a je venovaná problematike spokojnosti návštevníkov s poskytovanými službami v jednom z vybraných hotelov. Cieľom diplomovej práce je zhodnotiť kvalitu poskytovaných služieb vo vybranom hoteli v spolkovej krajine Horné Rakúsko. Hodnotenie spokojnosti hotelových hostí s poskytovanými službami je preverované kvantitatívnym výskumom. Respondenti, ktorí boli zapojení do výskumu, museli spĺňať špecifické kritériá a dodržať stanovené požiadavky, na ktoré boli vopred upozornení, aby pri vyhodnocovaní dotazníka nedošlo k znehodnoteniu alebo skresleniu poskytovaných informácií. Diplomová práca je kvôli prehľadnosti jednotlivých celkov rozdelená do troch hlavných častí, ktoré sú následne delené do kapitol a podkapitol. Vypracovanie teoreticko – metodologickej časti vychádza z dôkladného preštudovania dostupnej literatúry domácich i zahraničných autorov a objasňuje čitateľovi skúmanú problematiku po odbornej stránke. V analytickej časti je skúmaný vývoj cestovného ruchu v regióne Pyhrn – Priel v sledovanom období 2011 / 2017, ako aj v jeho jednotlivých obciach a pojednáva o kvalite poskytovaných služieb vo vybranom hoteli v hornorakúskej oblasti. Detailná interpretácia rakúskeho klasifikačného systému kvality, ako aj hodnotiacich kritérií dotvárajú kompletný obraz o diplomovej práci. Záverečná časť pozostáva z návrhov na zlepšenie danej situácie, ktorými sa bude autor snažiť prispieť k atraktívnemu rozvoju cestovného ruchu v regióne, ako aj skvalitneniu poskytovaných služieb vo vybranom hoteli v spomínanej oblasti cestovného ruchu.
