The My Backpack method as a support tool for work in the field of substitute family care

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje metodě My Backpack a jejímu využití při práci s dětmi v náhradní rodinné péči. Cílem práce je analyzovat a popsat, jak metoda My Backpack funguje v praxi. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části. V teoretické části práce jsou popsány principy metody My Backpack a dále termíny týkající se náhradní rodinné péče. Aplikační část je zpracována metodou pilotáže, pro sběr dat byl použit expertní rozhovor. Vyhodnocením aplikační části jsem zjistila, že metoda My Backpack je jedním z nástrojů používaných při práci s dětmi, které si prošly přemístěním a dětem pomáhá při zpracovávání jejich traumat.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the My Backpack method and its use in working with children in foster care. The aim of the thesis is to analyse and describe how the My Backpack method works in practice. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the principles of the My Backpack method and the terms related to foster family care. The application part is developed by the method of piloting, expert interview was used for data collection. By evaluating the application part, I found that the My Backpack method is one of the tools used when working with children who have been through relocation and helps children to process their traumas.
