Abstract:

Má autorská kniha humorně a s nadsázkou ukazuje na dvojstranných vektorových ilustracích, co se může skrývat za věcmi, které míjíme v běžném životě. Funguje na principu filtrování barvy červenou folií, která odkrývá schované objekty za rastrem vrchní kresby. Z toho důvodu se knížka výstižně jmenuje "za". Ilustrace na sebe tématicky nenavazují a tak Vás překvapují při každém otočení stránky. Každá kresba v této knize je autorké umělecké vyjádření, které funguje, jak v celku knihy tak i samostatně. V ilustracích se zabývám přírodou, lidmi a věcmi kolem nás. Inspirací pro mě bylo vše kolem mě. Kresby jsem kreslila v programu adobe Illustrator s pomocí tabletu. Barevnost je zavislá na barevnosti folié, takže jsem použila červenou barvu a k ní světle modrou, která se zvýrazní přiložením červené folie a tím odhalí vnitřek kresby. I přes to, že kniha není tvořena pro děti, jsem se inspirovala leporelem, avšak v jiné knižní podobě. Vazba je řešena tak, že kniha je v pevných deskách zavěšena jen z přední strany, listy jde otáčet jako v klasické knížce, ale dá se i roztáhnout do leporela po celé šířce nebo případně do jednoho dlouhého pásu. Díky tomuto se může dílo stát i knihou objektem. Uvnitř zadní strany desek je kapsa, kde čtenář najde lupu s červeným filtrem pro odhalování ukrytých kreseb v knize.

Abstract:

The purpose of my book is to show with humor and a bit of exaggeration, what can hide beneath the things we see around us every day. It consists of two-page vector illustrations. It works on the principle of filtering the colors with a red foil, which helps us expose the objects hidden under the bitmap of the top drawing. That is the reason why the name of the book is 'Behind'. The illustrations don't follow the same storyline, so there is a surprise on every page. Every single drawing inside the book works by itself or as a part of the book. In the illustrations I mostly work with nature, people, and things around us. My inspiration was everything I saw around me. The drawings are made in a tablet application called Adobe Illustrator. The colors depend on the color of the foil, so I used red and light blue, that will become brighter by laying the red foil on it and exposing the inside of the drawing. Even though this book is not made for children, I was inspired by a leporelo book. My book has a different form though. The binding is made so that the first and last page have a hard cover. The rest of the pages can be turn like a normal book, unfolded like a leporelo book, or even become one long strip. This enables the work to become a book object. Inside the back of the hard cover there is a pocket, in which a reader can find a magnifying glass with a red filter for unveiling the hidden drawings in the book.
