Binocular 3D refraction

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá novou generací optotypů, které umožňují komplexní vyšetření subjektivní refrakce oka za binokulárních podmínek. Hlavní náplní teoretické části je popis jednotlivých druhů současně dostupných binokulárních 3D optotypů s ohledem na jejich funkci, technické i testové vybavení. V praktické části byla porovnávána efektivita klasické monokulární metody stanovení subjektivní refrakce s inovovanou metodou za tzv. monokulárně-binokulárních podmínek. Výzkum se snaží poskytnout ucelenější pohled na možnosti vyšetření refrakčních vad pomocí 3D optotypů. Cílem této práce je ověřit, zda binokulární měření může poskytnout vhodnější korekci astigmatismu s lepší subjektivním výsledkem.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with a new generation of optotypes, which allow comprehensive investigation of the subjective refraction measured under monocular-binocular conditions. The main focus of the theoretical part is to describe individual types of binocular 3D optotypes available nowdays with regard to their function and equipment. The second, practical, part compares the effectiveness of the classical monocular method of subjective refraction with the new measurement under so called monocular-binocular conditions. This research attempts to provide a more comprehensive view at the potential of examining the refractive errors using 3D optotypes. The purpose of this work is to verify whether the binocular measurement can provide more appropriate correction of astigmatism with better subjective outcome.
