Chatbot implementation in an educational institution

Abstract:

Cílem práce je navrhnout a implementovat chatbota, program pro automatizovanou komunikaci s lidmi, pro webové stránky vzdělávací instituce. První část práce představí samotnou technologii, její historii, vývoj a současnost. Pro potřeby návrhu a implementace chatbota je proveden průzkum trhu pro volbu vyhovující platformy, na které bude chatbot postaven. Druhá část práce je praktický příklad návrhu a implementace chatbota. Chatbot je tvořen pro vzdělávací instituci se specifickými požadavky. Pro správné pochopení požadavků a celkového chodu instituce, byla uskutečněna jednání formou schůze mezi mou osobou, zřizovatelkami školy, sekretariátem a marketérkou společnosti. Na základě jednání se zvolí platforma pro vývoj chatbota a vytvoří se návrh, který se následně implementuje na webové stránky školní instituce. Chatbot přispěje návštěvníkům stránky především k urychlení a usnadnění dohledávání potřebných informací, bez nutnosti komunikace s živým člověkem. Poslední část práce se věnuje vyhodnocení úspěšnosti návrhu a integraci chatbota.

Abstract:

The goal of this project is to design and implement a chatbot, a program for automated communication with people. The chatbot will be utilized for an educational institution’s website. The first part of the project will introduce the technology itself, its history, development, and today’s situation. For the purpose of designing and implementing the chatbot, market research will be conducted to choose a suitable platform on which the chatbot will be built. The second part of the project is a practical example of designing and implementing the chatbot. The chatbot is created for an educational institution with its specific requirements. To understand the requirements and overall operation of the institution, a meeting was held between myself, the school's founders, secretariat, and the company's marketer. Based on the meeting, a platform will be chosen for developing the chatbot and a design will be created. Then it will be implemented on the school’s website. The chatbot will primarily contribute to visitors of the website by speeding up and simplifying the search for necessary information, without the need for communication with an actual person. The final part of the project focuses on evaluating the success of the design and the integration of the chatbot.
