Rímske strážne veže predstavujú druh obranných stavieb napomáhajúcich pri obrane hraníc ríše a sú súčasťou obranného systému na Limes Romanus. Keďže sa množstvo archeologických výskumov zaoberá iba konkrétnymi stavbami, táto práca posudzuje vzťah rímskej strážnej veže a obrancov.
