The Significance of Tattoo in Educational Environment

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na význam tetování v přirozených prostředích výchovy. Reflektuje zkušenost mladých dospělých jedinců, kteří mají viditelné tetování, se zkoumaným jevem. V rámci teoretické části se tato práce zabývá současným fenoménem tetování a shrnuje dosavadní odborné poznatky o něm, jako například historický vývoj tetování, různé významy tetování od pradávna po současnost, vymezení tetované komunity, tetování jako stigma a dostupné výsledky již prezentovaných výzkumů. Empirická část výzkumného projektu zjišťuje, jaký význam má tetování pro mladého dospělého člověka v současnosti v rámci přirozených prostředí výchovy, kde se tento jedinec pohybuje. Jedná se o rodinné, volnočasové a pracovní prostředí. Mimo tento rámec odhaluje také další doprovodné jevy výzkumu, jako například osobní význam a funkce tetování, nebo pohled dotazovaných respondentů na současnou situaci tetování a tetovaných ve společnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the significance of tattoos in natural educational environments. It reflects experiences of young emerging adults who have visible tattoos with the researched occurrence. Within the theoretical part, this thesis deals with the contemporary phenomenon of tattoos and summarizes present scientific knowledge about it, for example the historical progress of tattoo, the development of various meanings of tattoos from the old days until the present, the definition of the tattooed community, tattoos in the sense of stigma and accessible results of existing research. The empirical part of the research project discovers what significance tattoos have for emerging adults nowadays in relation to the educational environment which they associate in. It includes family, spare time and workplace environments. Apart from these issues, it discovers further accompanying phenomena of the research, for example the personal importance and functions of tattoos, or the point of view of respondents on the current situation of tattoos and tattooed people in society.
