Teoretická část popisuje historii, vývoj a nejznámější autory ve fotografii. Dále je zde rozebrána sportovní fotografie dnešní doby, moderní technologie, které mohou sportovním fotografům usnadnit práci v terénu, a v neposlední řadě základní i pokročilé techniky a trendy při fotografování sportu.
