Education of a pregnant woman about non-pharmacological methods during childbirth

Abstract:

Čím dál tím více těhotných žen má zájem o nefarmakologické metody, o alternativní a přirozený způsob vedení porodu s co nejmenším zásahem personálu a farmak. Nefarmakologické metody během porodu by tedy měly být upřednostňovány před farmakologickými metodami. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo navrhnout a vytvořit edukační plán pro těhotné ženy o nefarmakologických metodách během porodu. Edukovány byly celkem tři těhotné ženy. Forma edukace byla individuální, tak aby byla přizpůsobena jejich aktuálním potřebám. Proces edukace obsahoval všech pět fází - posouzení, stanovení edukačních diagnóz, plánování, realizaci a vyhodnocení edukace. Edukace byla realizována ve dvou naplánovaných edukačních jednotkách. Před samotnou edukací byl použit vstupní znalostní test. Na závěr edukace těhotné ženy obdržely edukační materiál (brožuru) o nefarmakologických metodách během porodu. Edukační brožura obsahuje nejdůležitější informace o nefarmakologických metodách (aromaterapie, bylinná vaginální napářka, masáže, hydroterapie, elektroanalgezie, akupunktura, akupresura, doprovod blízké osoby u porodu, relaxační a úlevové polohy, hypnoporodní techniky, rebozo, technika dýchání). Po porodu proběhlo vyhodnocení edukace pomoci výstupního znalostního testu s doplňujícími otázkami.

Abstract:

More and more pregnant women are interested in non-pharmacological methods, in an alternative and natural way of conducting childbirth with the least possible intervention of staff and pharmaceuticals. Therefore, non-pharmacological methods during childbirth should be preferred to pharmacological methods. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to design and produce an educational plan for pregnant women on non-pharmacological methods during childbirth. A total of three pregnant women were educated. The form of education was individualized and therefore adapted to the current needs of educated women. The education process included all five phases - assessment, determination of educational diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the education. The education was implemented in two planned educational sessions. An input knowledge test was used before the education itself. At the end of the education, pregnant women received educational material (brochure) on non-pharmacological methods during childbirth. The educational brochure contains the most important information regarding non-pharmacological methods (aromatherapy, herbal vaginal steaming, massages, hydrotherapy, electroanalgesia, acupuncture, acupressure, a companion during labour, relaxation and relief positions, hypnobirthing, rebozo, breathing technique). After delivery, the education was evaluated using an output knowledge test with additional questions.
