Influence of historical anthropogenic structures on forest vegetation in the Podbeskydí region

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit vliv historických antropogenních tvarů na lesní vegetaci v Podbeskydí. Byly studovány rozdíly mezi porosty na mezích a plošinách agrárních teras. Bylo zaznamenáno 100 fytocenologických snímků, z toho 50 na mezích a 50 na plošinách, nad těmito snímky byl pomocí softwarového nástroje určen index pokryvnosti zápoje. Přibližné stáří porostů bylo zrekonstruováno na základě historických leteckých snímků. Datový soubor byl analyzován pomocí jednorozměrných (Kruskall-Wallisova ANOVA, Wilcoxonův párový test) i mnohorozměrných statistických metod (kanonická a detrendovaná korespondenční analýza). Jako statisticky významný byl určen vztah mezi pokryvností bylinného patra, výškou stromů a spojením druhového spektra vyjádřeného jeho stanovištními nároky na světlo pomocí Ellenbergových indikačních hodnot s výskytem na mezi či mimo ně. Studované meze agrárních teras zaujímají 5,8 % zájmového území a bylo prokázáno, že bylinné patro mezí vykazuje větší heterogenitu a větší druhovou diverzitu než bylinné patro plošin agrárních teras. Nejvýznamnější výsledek vyhodnocený detrendovanou korespondenční analýzou byla větší heterogenita sukcesně starších porostů. Podobná území by jako kulturně i ekologicky cenná stanoviště neměla být přehlížena a měla by jim být přiřazena náležitá ochrana.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the influence of historical anthropogenic structures on forest vegetation in Podbeskydí region. The differences between the forest stands on the slopes and the platforms of the agrarian terraces were studied. 100 phytosociological relevés were recorded, of which 50 relevés on the slopes and 50 reléves on the platforms, above these reléves was determined the Canopy Cover Index using a software tool. The approximate age of the stands was reconstructed based on historical aerial photographs. The data set was analyzed using one-dimensional (Kruskall-Wallis ANOVA, Wilcoxon paired test) and multivariate statistical methods (canonical and detrended correspondence analysis). The relationship between the cover of the herbaceous layer, the height of the trees and the combination of the species spectrum expressed by its habitat requirements for light using Ellenberg indicator values with occurrence at the slopes or outside of them was determined to be statistically significant. The studied agricultural terrace slopes occupy 5.8 % of the area of interest and it was proved that the herbaceous layer of the slopes shows greater heterogeneity and greater species diversity than the herbaceous layer of agrarian terrace platforms. The most significant result evaluated by the detrended correspondence analysis was the greater heterogeneity of successively older stands. Such areas should not be as culturally, and ecologically valuable habitats overlooked and they should be given appropriate protection.
