Leisure time activities as determinant of personality growth

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problémem volného času a jeho vlivu na utváření osobnosti. Kvalitní a smysluplná náplň volného času dětí a mládeže hraje důležitou roli v jejich vývoji. Dítě v kolektivu stejně starých dětí s podobnými zájmy získává takové životní zkušenosti, které jinde získat nemůže. Rovněž volnočasové aktivity slouží jako prevence sociálně patologických jevů. Co si představit pod pojmem volný čas a jak jej můžeme trávit, naleznete v teoretické části. V praktické části jsou uvedeny výsledky mého výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, zda žáci využívají volný čas aktivně nebo pouze pasivně sedí u monitorů svých počítačů a postupně se stávají závislými.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with leisure time and its influence on the forming of character. Children{\crq}s and youth{\crq}s leisure time of high quality and a meaningful content plays a significant role in their development. A child being in a group of other children of the same age and similar interests acquires life experience the acquisition of which is impossible anywhere else. Leisure time activities prevent the occurrence of social-pathological phenomena. The leisure time activities are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. The outcomes of my research are presented in the empirical part of the thesis. Its objective was to find out whether pupils either spend their leisure time actively or passively sit at their computers and become gradually addictive.
