Vladimíra Čerepková, Beat - generation and its aspects in Central Europe

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá hnutím beat generation. Zkoumá jeho počátky a vznik v Americe, filosofii, uměleckou tvorbu a proměnu estetických norem. Zmíněni jsou tedy američtí autoři hnutí, na které navazuje československá verze fenoménu beat generation. Práce se věnuje vlivy a dobovým kontextem Československa 60. let, tvorbou tuzemských básníků beat generation, speciálně tvorbou a životem Vladimíry Čerepkové. V závěru práce je k porovnání popsána beat generation v Polsku a Rusku a dále současné pojímání beat generation a její vliv na dnešní mladou generaci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis inquires into the Beat Generation. It examines its genesis and beginnings in The United States, its philosophy, artworks and the transformation of aesthetical norms. Afterwards, I analyse the Czechoslovakian Beat Generation phenomenon, which is tied to the American predecessors who are also mentioned. The work attends to impacts and contemporary context of the Czechoslovakian 60's, works of its domestic poets and especially the work and life of Vladimíra Čerepková. In the end, the contextual Polish and Russian authors are described and an enquiry into the Beat Generation's influence onto contemporary young generation follows.
