Short-term enzymatic activity of soil in traditional forest management after conversion of high forest to medium forest

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá krátkodobými vlivy používání tradičních lesnických managementů na půdní vlastnosti. Zkoumané půdní vlastnosti byly N-NH4+, N-NO3-, kyselá fosfomonoesteráza, ureáza, proteáza, Cmic, H+ a fosfor. Studie byla provedena na polesí ŠLP Masarykův les Křtiny na lokalitě Hradisko. Na lokalitě bylo založeno 15 výzkumných ploch s 5 druhy managementů (management pařeziny, lesní pastvy a hrabání steliva s jejich kombinacemi a kontrolní management). V práci byly analyzovány časové řady vývoje na jednotlivých managementech mezi lety 2017 a 2021. Analýza byla provedena statistickou metodou ANOVA s opakováním, a následně byla provedena korelační analýza mezi jednotlivými půdními vlastnostmi. Vliv tradičních lesnických managementů byl prokázán u půdních vlastností aktivity fosfatázy a ureázy a u obsahu N-NH4+, Cmic a fosforu. Naopak vliv se neprokázal u aktivity proteázy a na obsahu N- NO3- a H+. Při analýzy se také objevily rozdíly mezi jednotlivými managementy. Největší rozdíly mezi managmenty byly v roce 2018. V tomto roce došlo k výraznému rozkolísaní hodnot a k poklesu aktivity ureázy, fosfatázy a obsahu H+ a k nárůstu u koncentrací N-NH4+, N-NO3-, fosforu a aktivity proteázy. V roce 2018 se projevily i rozdíly mezi vývojovými trendy jednotlivých managementů. Objevovaly se hlavně mezi hrabanými a nehrabanými managementy, ale nebyla prokázaná statistická významnost těchto rozdílů. Nejvíce se na analýze projevily rozdíly mezi tradičními managementy a kontrolou. Půdní vlastností aktivity fosfatázy, ureázy a obsahu fosforu, Cmic a H+ měly u kontroly vyšší obsahy než na ostatních managementech a v letech 2020 a 2021 byly tyto rozdíly statisticky významné u fosfatázy, ureázy, fosforu a Cmic.

Abstract:

The work deals with the short-term effects of the use of traditional forestry on soil properties. The examined soil properties were N-NH4+, N-NO3-, acid phosphomonoesterase, urease, protease, Cmic, H+ and phosphorus. The study was performed on the land of Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny (TFE Křtiny) in the Hradisko locality. Fifteen research areas with 5 types of management were based on this locality (management of stumps, forest pastures and litter raking with their combinations and control management). The time series of the development of individual managements in the years from 2017 to 2021 were analysed. The analysis was performed by the statistical method ANOVA with repetition and a correlation analysis was performed among the individual soil properties. The influence of traditional forestry has been proven on soil properties, phosphatase and urease activity and the content of N- NH4+, Cmic and phosphorus. On the contrast, no effect observed on protease activity and content of N-NO3- and H+. Differences emerged during the analysis among individual managements. The largest differences occurred among each management in 2018. In this year it reached to the most significant fluctuations in the values and decrease in the activity of urease, phosphatase and H+ content and an increase of concentration of N- NH4+, N-NO3-, phosphorus and activity of protease. In 2018, there were also differences between the development trends of individual managements. They occurred mainly between raking and not raking management, but the statistical significance of these differences was not proven. The differences among traditional management and control were most manifested in the analysis. Soil properties of phosphatase activity, urease activity and phosphorus content, Cmic and H+ had higher contents in control than in other managements and in 2020 and 2021 these differences were statistically significant for phosphatase, urease, phosphorus and Cmic.
