Demographic analysis of small municipalities in Beskydy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá demografickou analýzou menších obcí rozkládajících se v podhorském až horském regionu Beskyd, konkrétně na území správních obvodů s rozšířenou působností Jablunkov, Třinec, Frýdek-Místek a Frýdlant nad Ostravicí. Práce se opírá o data za období 1991–2018. Analytická část práce je postavena na vypočtených hodnotách demografických ukazatelů. Největší pozornost však byla věnována vývoji přirozeného a mechanického pohybu obyvatelstva, věkové struktuře, národnostnímu a náboženskému složení obyvatelstva. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak se během posledních let vyvíjel počet obyvatel „beskydských obcí“, jakým způsobem se měnila struktura obyvatelstva a zda existovaly rozdíly ve vývoji mezi obcemi napříč regionem. Ze zjištěných dat, tabelárních, grafických a mapových výstupů vyplývá, že většina obcí se, i přes negativní bilanci přirozeného pohybu obyvatelstva, rozrůstá. Migrační situace v regionu je spíše příznivá. Věková struktura jednotlivých obcí se však zásadním způsobem liší. Budoucí perspektiva obcí závisí na celé řadě faktorů, které jsou předmětem diskuze v závěrečné části této práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the demographic analysis of smaller municipalities in the Beskyd Region, specifically in the administrative districts with extended power Jablunkov, Třinec, Frýdek-Místek and Frýdlant nad Ostravicí. Data were used for the period 1991-2018. The main part is based on the analysis of demographic indicators and understanding the context, differences between municipalities and processes which can lead to this state. The aim of this work was to define whether population gets older or whether the young popoulation emigrates from this region or not. The results show that the population in the most municipalities is growing. Natality is usually higher than mortality, but in many municipalities the migration balance is positive and outweighs losses due to lower birth rates. Age structure of the population is very diverse. Thus the future depends on many factors which in the end of this work are discussed.
