The care for the patient after the brain tumor surgery by the method of awake craniotomy

Abstract:

Cíl: Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je představit specifika ošetřovatelské péče u pacienta po operaci tumoru mozku metodou awake kraniotomie. V teoretické části bylo cílem představit druhy neuroepitelových nádorů, popsat operační metodu awake kraniotomie a představit specifika ošetřovatelské péče u pacienta po operaci tumoru mozku na neurochirurgickém oddělení. V části empirické je cílem popsat subjektivní a objektivní prožívání konkrétního pacienta po operaci mozkového nádoru metodou awake kraniotomie. Metodika: Empirická část je zpracovanou formou případové studie jednoho pacienta po operaci tumoru mozku metodou awake kraniotomie. Pro zpracování této případové studie byla použita kvalitativní výzkumná metodologie, klinická kazuistika, ve které jsou přehledně a systematicky uspořádány informace o průběhu nemoci, vývoji onemocnění a potřebách pacienta. Pro vypracování této kazuistiky byly data a informace získávány formou nestandardizovaného rozhovoru s pacientkou, jejím manželem a zdravotnickým personálem, propojeny pozorováním a rozborem dat ze zdravotnické dokumentace. Výsledek: Práce zachycuje případ konkrétní pacientky, která podstoupila operaci mozkového nádoru. Je zde popsáno, jak nemoc prožívala před operací i po operaci, jaký vliv měla nemoc na její život a život celé rodiny.

Abstract:

Objective: The main objective of this work is to present the specifics of nursing care at a patient after surgery of a brain tumour using the method called awake craniotomy. The theoretical part introduces the kinds of neuroepithelial tumours, describes awake craniotomy and presents the specifics of nursing care at a patient after surgery of brain tumour at neurosurgical department. In the empirical part, the aim is to describe the objective and subjective experience of the individual patient after surgery of the brain tumour by awake craniotomy. Methodology: The empirical part uses a case study of one patient after surgery of a brain tumour by awake craniotomy method. For the processing of this case study qualitative research methodology, clinical case study, were used. There are neatly and systematically arranged information on the progress of the disease, the development of the disease and the patient's needs. For the preparation of this case study data and information were acquired through non-standardized interview with the patient, her husband, and medical personnel, linked to the observation and analysis of data from the medical records. Result: The work captures the specific case of a patient who underwent brain tumour surgery. It describes her experience with the disease before and after surgery, the impact the disease had on her life and the life of the whole family.
