Public greenery in urban space - community gardens

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá specifickým projevem současné městské kultury a městského zemědělství, komunitními zahradami v Praze. Cílem práce bylo odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku jaký je profil uživatelů komunitních zahrad a zjištění jejich motivace k využívání komunitních zahrad. Ke zpracování tohoto tématu byly v teoretické části použity studie několika autorů a v praktické části pozorování a polostrukturované rozhovory s uživateli komunitních zahrad. V závěru práce bylo provedeno vyhodnocení šetření a shrnutí závěrů.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with a specific manifestation of contemporary urban culture and urban agriculture, community gardens in Prague. The objective of the thesis was to answer the research question what is the profile of community garden users and to find out their motives for using community gardens. To address this topic, studies by several authors were used in the theoretical part and observations and semi-structured interviews with community garden users were used in the practical part. At the end of the thesis, an evaluation of the survey was carried out as well as the summary of the findings and conclusions.
