Factors Determining Selection of Destination for Families with Children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o faktorech, jimiž je zatížen segment rodin s dětmi při výběru destinace pro rodinnou dovolenou. Hlavním cílem bylo zhodnotit a nalézt ty faktory, které jsou klíčové a mnohdy rozhodující pro tuto specifickou část zákazníků v cestovním ruchu. Vedlejším cílem bylo na základě vymezených faktorů navrhnout stát či region jako destinaci, která bude pro segment rodin s dětmi vyhovující. Shromažďování dat probíhalo prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření u 70 respondentů. Průzkum byl orientován především na motivy, jež iniciují tento segment k uskutečnění rodinné dovolené, na průběh rodinného nákupního procesu, na atraktivity a vlastnosti destinace, které hrají při výběru rodinné dovolené důležitou roli. Výsledky ukazují, že rodiny s dětmi realizují rodinnou dovolenou nejčastěji se záměrem oddechu. Většina rodin s dětmi upřednostňuje přírodní atraktivity destinace, kde požadují určitou míru bezpečnosti. Nákupního procesu a jeho jednotlivých fází se většinou účastní celá rodina, ale každý člen rodiny s rozdílnou intenzitou. Rovněž rozdílné stanovisko zastávají členové rodiny i během rozhodovacího procesu při výběru destinace. Na základě provedeného průzkum a vyhodnocených faktorů byl navržen stát Slovinsko, jako vyhovující destinace pro segment rodin s dětmi. Následně byla navržena doporučení pro cestovní kanceláře a pro budoucí výzkumy daného segmentu. V závěru jsou popsány faktory, které byly získány vyhodnocením dat a jsou rozhodující pro rodiny s dětmi při výběru destinace.

Abstract:

This dissertation deals with the factors that burden the segment of families with children when choosing a destination for a family vacation. The main goal was to evaluate and find those factors that are key and often decisive for this specific part of customers in tourism. The secondary goal was, based on defined factors, to offers state or region as a destination that will be suitable for the segment of families with children. Data collection took place through a questionnaire survey of 70 respondents. The survey focuses mainly on the motives that drive this segment to undertake family vacation, the course of the family shopping process, the attractiveness and characteristics of the destination, which play an important role in choosing a family vacation. The results show that families with children take family holidays most often with the intention of rest. Most families with children prefer the natural attractions of the destination, where they require certain level of safety. The whole family usually participates in the purchase process and its individual phases, but each member of the decision-making process when choosing a destination. Based on the survey and evaluated factors, the state of Slovenia was proposed as a suitable destination for the segment of families with children. Subsequently, recommendations were proposed for travel agencies and for future research in the segment. Finally, the factors that were obtained by evaluating the data and are crucial for families with children when choosing a destination are described.
