Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na fonologické jevy typické pro výslovnost města Monterrey - místo, které se nachází na severovýchodě Mexika. Na základě informací získaných z různých publikací o mexické výslovnosti se analyzuje řeč čtyř účastníků stejného věku narozených ve městě Monterrey. Tyto osoby se účastnily šesti nahrávaných rozhovorů přes Skype. Rozhovory mezi těmito čtyřmi přáteli znázorňují mexickou hovorovou řeč. Pozorovanými jevy jsou převážně ty, které byly uvedeny v publikacích, například: oslabení samohlásek, diftongizace hiátů, asibilované r a znělé s. Mluva čtyř účastníků je detailně zkoumána ze stránky fonetické. Dále se popisují společné znaky jejich projevu, stejně tak jako rozdíly a zvláštnosti řeči každého z nich zvlášť. Vlastní poznatky jsou porovnány s publikacemi a v závěru práce je zhodnoceno, zda odpovídají předpokladům získaných na základě studia již zmíněných knih.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on phonological features typical for the pronunciation in the city of Monterrey, situated in the north-east of Mexico. Based on the information obtained from several publications about the Mexican pronunciation; the speech of four participants, natives of Monterrey and of the same age, is analyzed. The participants take part in a total of six audio recorded conversations via Skype. The conversations of the four friends show Mexican colloquial speech. The observed phenomena are primarily those mentioned in the publications, for example: debilitation of vowels, diphthongization of hiatus, assibilated r and sonorous s. The speech of the four participants is studied thoroughly from the phonetic point of view. Subsequently, the common characteristics of their speech as well as the differences and peculiarities of each participant?s language are described. The author?s own findings are compared with the publications and in the conclusion it is stated whether the findings correspond with the hypotheses obtained from the publications.
