Inspection as a part of teacher professional development

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá vzájemnými hospitacemi učitelů druhého stupně základní školy. Záměrem práce je popsat, jakým způsobem využívají učitelé hospitace k vlastnímu profesnímu rozvoji. Cíl výzkumu má dvě roviny. První část výzkumu si klade za cíl popsat, jakým způsobem vzájemné hospitace učitelů fungují, jakou mají funkci, jakým způsobem probíhá kolegiální učení, jaké jsou sociální vztahy na pracovišti a jakou roli mají a v neposlední řadě, jaký je přínos vzájemných hospitací. Druhá část výzkumu se zaměřuje na pohospitační rozhovory učitelů, o čem spolu učitelé hovoří, a jestli lze tyto rozhovory považovat za pedagogicky produktivní a může tak docházet k profesnímu rozvoji. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá profesním rozvojem učitelů, dalším vzděláváním, učením na pracovišti, spolupráci učitelů a hospitacemi. V empirické části je popsána metodologie a dále jsou zde představeny také výsledky výzkumného šetření provedeného prostřednictvím pozorování, analýzy pohospitačních rozhovorů mezi učiteli a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů mezi výzkumníkem a hospitovanými učiteli.

Abstract:

This master's thesis deals with the mutual inspection of teachers of the second grade of elementary school. The purpose of the thesis is to describe how teachers use inspection for their own professional development. The aim of the research has two levels. The first part of the research aims to describe how the mutual inspection of teachers works, what their function is, how collegial learning takes place, what are the social relations in the workplace and what role they have and what are the benefits of mutual inspection. The second part of the research focuses on the inspection interviews of teachers, what the teachers talk about and whether these interviews can be considered pedagogically productive and can thus lead to professional development. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the professional development of teachers, further education, learning at the workplace, cooperation of teachers and inspections. In the empirical part, the methodology is described, and the results of the research conducted through observation, analysis of interviews between teachers and semi-structured interviews between the researcher and visiting teachers are also presented here.
