Interdisciplinary approach to teaching social sciences on the example of the scientific revolution of the early modern era

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá proměnami přírodní filozofie a přírodní historie, ke kterým došlo během tzv. vědecké revoluce 16. a 17. století. Při zkoumání tohoto období využívá poznatků současné historiografie vědy. Její součástí je také návrh školního projektu, který má seznámit studenty středních škol s touto problematikou.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with transformations of natural philosophy and natural history which took place during the so-called scientific revolution of 16th and 17th centuries. The findings of contemporary historiography of science are utilized in the course of inquiry into the given period. A draft of classroom project aimed at high school students is also a part of the thesis.
