Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou potřeb ve výuce jazyků a zkoumá dospělého studenta, který navštěvuje kurz angličtiny. Studie nejprve popisuje, co je to jazyková potřeba, poté popisuje proces analýzy potřeb, včetně metodologie a požadovaného sběru dat. Následující kapitola zkoumá dospělé studenty a faktory, jako je věk studentů, motivace k učení a úzkost, které mohou ovlivnit proces učení. Práce poté přebírá pojmy zkoumané v teoretické části a přechází do části praktické, případové studie dospělého studenta. Cílem je posoudit, zda došlo k analýze potřeb a zda pozitivně ovlivnila studenta.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis covers needs analysis in language learning and examines an adult learner who attends an English language course. The study first depicts what a language need is, then describes the process of needs analysis, including methodol-ogies and required data collection. The following chapter examines adult learners and factors such as the learners’ age, motivation for learning, and anxiety that may influence the learning process. The thesis then takes the notions examined in its theoretical part and moves to the practical part, a case study of an adult learner. The aim is to gauge whether a needs analysis occurred and whether it positively affected the learner.
