The Analysis of Banking Market in the Czech Republic with Selected Country of EU

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je komplexní rozbor bankovního sektoru ČR s bankovním sektorem Nizozemska jako jednoho z representantů zemí Evropské unie s orientací na finanční skupinu ING, která působí na území obou těchto států. V úvodu autor vysvětluje, proč zvolil pro srovnání s vnitrostátním bankovnictvím právě bankovnictví nizozemské. První část práce je zaměřena na všeobecnou analýzu, tj. srovnání podle ekonomických faktorů a podle činnosti centrální banky jako orgánu uskutečňujícího dohled nad finančním trhem. Část druhá již zahrnuje vlastní analýzu ING Bank N. V., která působí jako pobočka zahraniční banky rovněž v ČR, avšak její podnikatelská strategie, poskytované služby a dosahované výsledky nejsou oproti její mateřské společnosti zcela shodné. Závěr práce pak tvoří úvaha nad hlavními příčinami daných rozdílů mezi zkoumanými znaky na obou trzích s možnostmi budoucího vývoje této banky v obou zemích.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is a complex analysis of the banking sector in the Czech Republic with banking sector of the Netherlands as a selected representative of countries of the European Union with orientation on the financial group ING which operates on both of these states. At the beginning author explains why he chose for analysis with inland banking the Dutch banking. The first part of the thesis is focused on general analysis, that means comparison by economics factors and by activities of central bank as an institution realizing supervision over financial market. The second part contains own analysis ING Bank N.V. which operates as branch of foreign bank also in the Czech Republic, but its business strategy, providing services and reached results are not the same against its parent company. At the end it follows own consideration about main causes of differences between studied characters on both markets and also on options of future development these banks in both these countries.
