Teachers´ Approach towards Inclusive Education and Integration of Pupils with Mental Disability and Ways of Educating Such Pupils

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce se zabývá vzděláváním osob s mentálním postižením. V teoretické části popisuji charakteristiku a klasifikaci mentálního postižení a charakteris-tické znaky osobnosti jedince s postižením. Dále se zabývám vzděláváním, v jedné z kapitol rozlišuji integraci a inkluzi, v další se zabývám jeho historickým vývojem a legislativou, k tomu se přiřazuje podkapitola pojednávající o jednotlivých stupních vzdělávání. V neposlední řadě popisuji didaktické principy využívané při vzdělávání osob s mentálním postižením. Praktická část je realizována kvantitativním výzkumem pomocí dotazníkového šetře-ní. Dotazník je zaměřen na postoje pedagogů v běžných základních školách k inkluzivnímu vzdělávání a integraci žáků s mentálním postižením. Především jde o zjištění postojů peda-gogů k inkluzivnímu vzdělávání, jaké jsou jejich názory nebo zda by raději pro žáky s mentálním postižením volili jinou formu vzdělávání.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is dealing with education of individuals with mental disabilities. In the theoretical part, I describe the characteristics and classification of mental disabilities and characteristic features of the personality of the disabled individual. Furthermore, I deal with education and I differentiate between integration and inclusion in one of the chapters. The following chapter concentrates on the historical development and legislation, which is further developed by a sub-chapter on particular stages of education. Last but not least, I describe didactical principles applied on education of mentally disabled individuals. The practical part of my thesis is realized through quantitative research by a ques-tionnaire analysis. The questionnaire is aimed to stances of teachers of primary schools on inclusive education and integration of mentally disabled pupils. Primarily, the aim is to show stances of teachers towards inclusive education, their opinions, or whether they would prefer to choose a different form of education for the mentally disabled pupils.
