Economic evaluation of investment project

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je posouzení a vyhodnocení investičního záměru Instalace frekvenčního měniče pro vodárnu 230 v Unipetrolu RPA k optimalizaci spotřeby elektrické energie v chemickém průmyslu a ekonomického posouzení vybraného projektu. Bakalářská práce ekonomicky zhodnotí návratnost a výhodnost investičního záměru ke snížení nákladů vydaných za elektrickou energii potřebnou pro provoz výrobního zařízení. Výsledkem je stanovení čisté současné hodnoty (ČSH), vnitřního výnosového procenta (IRR) a doby návratnosti. Dílčím cílem je případné ověření a porovnání údajů udávaných dodavatelem technologie či teoreticky vypočtených údajů se skutečně naměřenými údaji, nebo konkrétní hodnotou díky implementaci daného projektu do praxe. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se jedná o obecně známý postup a popis používaných metod hodnocení investic. V praktické části se jedná o konkrétní ekonomické hodnocení projektu. Cílem bakalářské práce je zhodnocení efektivnosti investičního záměru a porovnání návratnosti finančních prostředků podle průběžně získaných dat z již realizovaného investičního projektu.

Abstract:

The topic of my bachelor´s thesis consists in assessment and evaluation of the investment action “Installation of a frequency invertor for water treatment station 230 in Unipetrol RPA” for optimization of energy consumption in the chemical industry and economic assessment of the selected project. The bachelor’s thesis shall economically assess the rate of return and profitability of the investment to decrease costs spent for electrical energy necessary for operation of the production facility. The result shall be determination of net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR) together with payback period. The partial target is potential verification and comparison of data provided by technology supplier or of theoretically calculated figures with real measured readings or with real value thanks to implementation of given project into the practice. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with a generally known procedure and a description of methods used for investment assessment. The practical part deals with actual economic evaluation of the project. The target of the bachelor’s thesis is to evaluate efficiency of the investment intent and comparison of financial means rate of return according to continually gained data from the already executed investment project.
