Coordinating Career and Family Life of Professional Soldiers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na aktuální situaci vojáků Armády České republiky (AČR) v oblasti slaďování rodinného a profesního života. Teoretická část práce podává informace o hlavních úkolech AČR a osobnosti vojáka z povolání. Zabývá se pojmem rodina, jejími znaky a funkcemi. Obecně seznamuje s problematikou slaďování rodinného a pracovního života a také s trendem Work-life Balance. Poslední část teoretické práce uvede konkrétní slaďovací a motivační nástroje a jejich následné využití u členů armády. Hlavním cílem analytické části je zjistit reálné potřeby vojáků z povolání v rámci harmonizace rodinného a pracovního života. Cíle průzkumného šetření budou vyhodnoceny na základě výsledků z kvantitativní dotazníkové metody.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the current situation of the soldiers of The Army of the Czech Republic (AČR) in the area of keeping a balance between the family and professional life. The theoretical part provides information about the main tasks of AČR and the personality of a professional soldier. It deals with the notion of the family, its characters and functions. In general the thesis acquaints with the problematic of harmonizing the family and work life and with the trend of Work-Life Balance. The last part of the theoretical section introduces the particular harmonizing and motivational tools and their subsequent use by the members of the military. The main aim of the analytical part is to determine the real needs of professional soldiers within harmonizing the family and work life. The aims of the exploratory research are evaluated on the basis of the quantitative questionnaire method.
