Bakalárska práca popisuje Sonátu op. 36 Sergeja Rachmaninova, jej vznik a možné dôvody jej revízie. Obsahuje skladateľov životopis s dôrazom na obdobie, v ktorom bola sonáta skomponovaná. Zahŕňa taktiež jej interpretačnú analýzu, rozpísanie a subjektívne zdôvodnenie zásadných rozdielov medzi verziou originálnou z roku 1913 a revidovanou z roku 1936, či analyzovanie viacerých nahrávok.
