Psychobiographic model of care for people with Alzheimer's disease

Abstract:

Závěrečné práce je zaměřena na sběr dat a teoretických poznatků v oblasti stárnutí lidského jedince, která sebou přináší i problematiku vzniku demencí, převážně Alzheimerovy choroby. V souvislosti s touto chorobou bylo dílčím cílem získat informace o možnostech podpůrných terapií, zaměřit se na jednu konkrétní metodu a pokusit se ji aplikovat do praxe. Byl využit Psychobiografický model péče prof. Böhma a to metoda, kdy je stěžejním bodem pro individuální terapeutické přístupy v péči životní příběh seniora. Byly vytvořeny biografie klientů a následně byly zařazeny do praxe. V závěrečné práci jsou výsledkem výzkumu popsány skutečnosti, jak změnu stylu péče pocítili klienti a v jakém rozsahu zaměstnanci. Cílem práce je pozitivně ovlivnit a výsledky výzkumu přispět k rozvoji péče o klienty s Alzheimerovou chorobou.

Abstract:

The final work is focused on the collection of data and theoretical knowledge in the field of aging of the human individual, which brings with it the issue of dementia, mainly Alzheimer's disease. In connection with this disease, the partial goal was to obtain information about the possibilities of supportive therapies, to focus on one specific method and try to apply it in practice. The Psychobiographical Model of Care of prof. Böhma is a method where the life story of a senior is the central point for individual therapeutic approaches in care. Biog-raphies of clients were created and subsequently put into practice. In the final work, the results of the research describe the facts of how the change in the style of care was felt by the clients and to what extent the employees. The aim of the work is to positively influence and contrib-ute to the development of care for clients with Alzheimer's disease.
