Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Krize mužské identity v Blasted and Shopping and Fucking“ se zabývá pohledem na dvě jmenované stěžejní hry cool dramatiky. Přibližně ve stejné době, kdy se vynořilo toto divadlo, začalo se objevovat téma krize mužské identity. Proto je v této práci zkoumáno, jak se tento fenomén odráží u hlavních postav mužů nejvýznamnějších dvou her tohoto specifického typu divadla. Práce má několik hlavních částí. Nejprve se zabývá cool dramatikou, definicí jejích hlavních autorů, děl, sociálního a politického pozadí. Další část práce se zaměřuje na pojem „identita“ a na složitý proces jejího utváření. Poslední část se pak věnuje samotným hrám a aspektům krize mužské identity, které jsou v nich obsaženy.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis “Masculinity Crisis in Blasted and Shopping and Fucking” is focused on two crucial plays of in-yer-face theatre. A topic of masculinity in crisis emerged approximately at the same time as the in-yer-face theatre did. Therefore this thesis attempts to examine how the phenomena is reflected in male characters of the named plays. The thesis has several parts. The first deals with in-yer-face theatre and its definition. It further aims to define its main authors, plays, social and political background. Last part is devoted to the actual plays and to the aspects of masculinity in crisis in them.
