Abstract:

As globalization continuous to spread, so do businesses following the need to become internationalized and consequently, satisfying this great need, employ a more diverse workforce. Thus, the main objective/goal of this thesis was to answer and give a solution to the critical question “Is the necessity for diversity evil or the fuel gas for further development in today’s multicultural corporations”. Also, an effort made to describe the impact and importance of diversity using deductible figures, positive and/or negative, reflecting the proper functioning of the company as perceived by its employees through the use of questionnaires/surveys. The thesis is divided in two parts, the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes literature review and the most important aspects of diversity such as Managing diversity, Business model of HR management for diversity, diversity and globalization. The practical part includes questionnaires and surveys which will have been sent to different multicultural corporations throughout the compilation of the thesis. Through the analysis of the primary data (questionnaires/surveys) and the secondary data (books, articles, websites) and based on findings I was able, through the conclusion, to interpret, answer and give the appropriate recommendations/solutions to the critical question of my thesis, which can be further on used as a guideline by multicultural corporations for further development.
