Assessment of the Nature trails in Beskydy Mountains

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá kvalitativním i kvantitativním hodnocením obsahu naučných stezek s environmentální tématikou v území turistické oblasti Beskydy Valašsko. Cílem práce je provést analýzu obsahu informačních tabulí naučných stezek a zhodnotit jejich stav a atraktivnost. Práce se skládá z teoretické a výzkumné části. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny pojmy environmentální výchova, vzdělávání, osvěta a interpretace. Ústředním tématem diplomové práce jsou naučné stezky. Je zmíněna jejich historie, funkčnost a využití. Dále je popsána metodika jejich hodnocení a uvedena základní charakteristika vybraných naučných stezek. Nástrojem k řešení výzkumné části byl dotazník, Hodnocení kvality interpretace od Masterse a Cartera (1999). Na jeho základě a vlastních statistických metod se podařilo určit vždy dva panely stezky, jeden s nejhoršími a druhý naopak nejlepšími výsledky pro správnou interpretaci. U vybraných panelů bylo provedeno pozorování v rozmezí osmi hodin. Data byly zaznamenány do přehledných tabulek, na jejichž základě se podařilo zhodnotit současný stav obsahů deseti naučných stezek při porovnání s ostatními vybranými naučnými stezkami. Výsledné poznatky z diplomové práce mohou být použity jako podklad pro širší zhodnocení stavu naučných stezek na území ČR a umožnit tak srovnání s ostatními zeměmi v evropské unii, vhledem k dotacím, které jsou v současnosti hodně čerpány z EU právě na výstavbu nových naučných stezek.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with an objective and a subjective evaluation of a content of nature trails with an environmental aiming in the area of Beskydy-Valašsko.The main aim of the thesis is to analyze a state and an atractivity of information boards. The thesis is devided into a theoretical and a practical part. There are defined some terms as environmental education, education, enlightenment and interpretation in the theoretical part. The main theme of the thesis is nature trails. There are mentioned a history, a function and a ussage of the nature trails. The thesis provides a description of a metodology for the evaluation of trails and a main characteristic of some concrete nature trails. The Master´s and Carter´s questionnaire (1999) was used for a research. On the grouds of this research two boards were determined. The first board with the worst and the second with the best results for an interpretation. Some boards were observe in an interval of eight hours. The final date were noted into the tables. According to them the content of nine boards were evaluated and compared with the rest of mentioned nature trails. The outcome of this research could be used as a ground for an evaluation of the situation of nature trails in the Czech Republic. We can also compare the situation in our country with the rest of the European Union in relation with the amount of grants for construction of new nature trails.
