The House with the Coat of Arms of Two Ram's Horns and its Sides from Popovice and Věteřov

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce se snaží hlouběji osvětlit počátky a vývoj rodu pánů z Ceblovic a jeho příbuznost s pány z Popovic a Věteřova, kteří rovněž užívali původní rodový znak, tj. pár beraních rohů. Právě členové rozrodu dvou beraních rohů patřili k moravským politickým elitám 13. století a několikrát zastávali i nejvyšší zemské úřady. Jejich potomci ve 14. a na prahu 15. století již sice nepůsobili ve vysoké zemské politice, ale stále ještě oplývali poměrně rozsáhlou majetkovou držbou. Práce nejdříve zachycuje počátky pánů z Ceblovic a jejich vývoj ve 13. století. Posléze se věnuje jejich příbuzným z Popovic v tomtéž století. Tatáž větev je dále sledována napříč 14. stoletím, na jehož konci se od ní oddělují páni z Věteřova, kterým je věnována pozornost až do počátku 15. století. Hlavním záměrem práce je snaha vytvořit genealogii výše uvedených rodů a popsat majetkoprávní poměry jejich členů

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis tries, more deeply, to explain the origins of the lords of Ceblovice and their kinship to the lords of Popovice and to the lords of Věteřov who also used the original family coat of arms, i.e., pair of ram´s horns. Some members of that large family belonged to the Moravian political elites in the 13th century and held the highest posts in Moravia. Their descendants in the 14th century and in the beginnings of the 15th century didn’t hold the highest political posts anymore but they still had fairly large properties. First, the thesis describes the origins of the lords of Ceblovice and their developments in the 13th century. Then it is devoted to their kins, i.e., the lords of Popovice, in the same century. That side of the family, i.e., the lords of Popovice, is also described during the 14th century. In the end of that century their kins, i.e., the lords of Věteřov, appear. To whom is also paid attention to until the beginnings of the 15th century. The purpose of this thesis is to create genealogy of those lords and describe their property rights.
