The Common Czech and its Function in Contemporary Lyric's Text

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je shrnout problematiku obecné češtiny, vytyčit základní obecněčeské charakteristické rysy ve všech jazykových rovinách a pracovat s nimi na konkrétních textech. V teoretické částí se pokoušíme zařadit obecnou češtinu v rámci hierarchie národního jazyka a ukázat si rozdílné přístupy k obecné češtině. Zaměříme se především na lingvisty, kteří se zúčastnili diskuze o obecné češtině z šedesátých let dvacátého století, dále si pak ukážeme přístupy k této problematice ze současnosti a let devadesátých dvacátého století. Pro samotnou analýzu vymezíme základní obecněčeské charakteristické rysy, jejichž ne/výskyt v konkrétních písňových textech zkoumáme. Zkoumáme obecněčeské jevy z roviny hláskoslovné, tvaroslovné a lexikální. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována rovině lexikální, poněvadž autor, jehož texty analyzujeme, hojně využívá slovních extravagancí a experimentů se slovy. Z analýzy konkrétních textů určíme procentuální výskyt obecněčeských jevů a pokoušíme se vystihnout jejich funkce.

Abstract:

Main task of this thesis is to sum up the issue of common czech, to lay out basic framework consisting of characteristic features in all dimensions of language and to use this framework on particular texts. In theoretical part we will classify common czech in the hierarchy of national language and will ilustrace different approaches towards common czech. We stall specifically focus on linguists, who took part in the general debate concerning common czech in the 60’s. A part presenting more current approaches – contemporary and from the 90’s – will follow. The main analysis will be based on operationalization of basic language features of common czech, the presence or absence of derived indicators in the lyric texts will be soubyt. The phonetics, formatives and lexical dimensions of common czech will be analyse. However, the main emphasis will rest on lexical dimension, as the author who’s work is in the centre of this work uses very often word extravagancies and experiments with words in general. The thesis will conlude by assessment of percentual appearance of common czech phenomena and by an attempt to appreciate its functions.
