Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá jazykovou interferencí. Cílem práce je prozkoumat a analyzovat výskyt interferenčních chyb mezi českými středoškoláky v anglické jazykové produkci. Práce začíná teoretickým popisem interference, vysvětlením jejích různých typů a nastíněním faktorů, které mohou hrát roli při chybování. Zdůrazněny jsou také kontrastní rozdíly mezi anglickým a českým jazykovým systémem. Na základě výzkumného testu realizovaného na středních školách je pozornost věnována rozdílům a podobnostem chyb na různých jazykových úrovních mezi studenty prvního a závěrečného ročníku. Zjištění jsou porovnána a vyhodnocena s cílem určit, zda jsou studenti prvních ročníků obecně více ovlivněni mateřským jazykem, a tím pádem častěji chybují. Práce je zakončena doporučeními a vzdělávacími aktivitami, které mohou pomoci předcházet chybám způsobeným negativní interferencí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon known as language interference. The aim of the thesis is to investigate and analyse the occurrence of interference-related errors among Czech high school students in their English language production. The thesis commences with the theoretical description of interference, explanation of its diverse types, and outline of factors that may play a role in making errors. Contrastive differences between the English and Czech language systems are also emphasized. On the basis of the research test implemented at distinct high schools, the attention is paid to differences and similarities of errors on various linguistic levels between first-year students and final-year students. The findings are compared and evaluated in order to determine whether first-year students are generally more influenced by their mother tongue, and thus, make more errors. The thesis is concluded with recommendations and learning activities designed to prevent errors caused by negative interference.
