Assessment of the work conditions on the surgical unit focusing on the nurses' mental health.

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se budu zabývat hodnocením pracovních podmínek všeobecných sester na chirurgickém oddělení se zaměřením na psychickou zátěž. Hlavním cílem práce je posouzení pracovních podmínek za účelem návrhu opatření na prevenci stresu a syndromu vyhoření. Mezi další cíle patří hodnocení psychické zátěže sester a dalších faktorů pracovního prostředí na chirurgických odděleních ve třech vybraných nemocnicích. Teoretická část je zaměřená na psychosociální zátěž sester, do které patří zátěžové situace na pracovištích, násilí na pracovišti, syndrom vyhoření, stres, ale i důsledky psychické zátěže na sestru. V praktické části bylo hlavním cílem získat pomocí anonymního standardizovaného dotazníku všeobecný obraz o tom, jak sestry chirurgických oddělení ve vybraných nemocnicích vnímají pracovní podmínky a zjistit jejich psychickou zátěž.

Abstract:

In this thesis, I will deal with the evaluation of the working conditions of nurses in the surgical department with a focus on psychological stress. The main goal of this work is to assess the working conditions of nurses in order to design measures to prevent stress and burnout. Other objectives include the evaluation of mental workload of nurses and other work environment factors on surgical wards in three selected hospitals. The theoretical part focuses on the psychosocial stress of nurses, which includes stressful situations in the workplace, workplace violence, burnout, stress, but also the consequences of mental stress on nurse. The main objective in the practical part, using an anonymous standardized questionnaire, was to gain general picture of how the surgical department nurses in selected hospitals perceive working conditions and to determine their mental stress.
