Fluvial-geomorphological analysis of Kobylská stream (Vsetínské vrchy)

Abstract:

Charakter dnových sedimentů odráží fluviální procesy a dynamiku transportu materiálu ve fluviálním (dis)kontinuu. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na fluviálně-geomorfologickou analýzu vodního toku Kobylská ve Vsetínských vrších tvořených flyšovými souvrstvími Hostýnsko-vsetínské hornatiny. Průzkum se sestával z (i) fluviálně-geomorfologického mapování, (ii) identifikace zdrojnic materiálu a diskonektivit, (iii) průzkumu korytové morfologie, (iv) posouzení velikostní frakce dnových sedimentů a (v) zhodnocení morfologických parametrů koryta v podélném profilu vodního toku Kobylská. Výsledky terénního mapování byly zpracovány do formy geomorfologické mapy, grafu parametrů zrnitostní frakce dnových sedimentů s identifikací zdrojnic sedimentů, diskonektivit a morfologických charakteristik koryta v podélném profilu toku Kobylská. Statistická analýza byla prováděna pro rozpoznání vztahů mezi velikostí zrnitostní frakce a parametry korytové morfologie. Výsledný trend velikostí klastů odráží charakter donášky sedimentů, diskonektivit a korytové morfologie. Posuzovány byly také litologické podmínky v korytě toku Kobylská, kde výskyt jílovců ovlivňuje výsledné parametry velikosti dnových sedimentů.

Abstract:

The character of bed sediments reflects fluvial processes and the dynamics of material transport in fluvial (dis)continuum systems. The study is focused on fluvial-geomorphological analysis of the Kobylská mountain stream based in flysch geologic structures in the Vsetínské vrchy Mts. The research consisted of (i) fluvial-geomorphological mapping, (ii) recognizing the sediment inputs and disconnectivities, (iii) identification of the channel-reach morphology, (iv) assessment of the grain-size parameters of the bed sediments and (v) evaluation of morphological parameters of channel in the longitudinal course of the Kobylská stream. The results of the field research were processed into the form of the geomorphological maps, graphs of the grain-size parameters of bed sediments, identified sediment inputs, disconnectivities and morphologic characteristics of channel in the longitudinal course of the Kobylská stream. Statistical analysis were made for investigation of the relationships between grain-size and channel parameters. The resulting trends in grain-size parameters reflected the character of sediment delivery, disconnectivities and channel morphology. Additionally local lithological conditions were assessed in the Kobylská basin where occurrence of claystones affected resulting parameters of bed sediment grain-size.
