Foreign words in national and geography textbooks and their understanding by pupils.

Abstract:

Práce se skládá ze tří částí. První teoretická část vymezuje a popisuje základní pojmy práce, jakými jsou slovo, slovní zásoba, přejímání slov, přejatá slova a způsoby jejich přejímání a změny, které při přejímání slov z cizích jazyků mohou nastat. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu cizích slov ve vybraných učebnicích vlastivědy. Na základě této analýzy je vytvořena výzkumná část práce, která zjišťuje porozumění cizích slov u žáků prvního stupně pomocí kvantitativní metody, konkrétně dotazníku.

Abstract:

The thesis consists of three parts. The first theoretical part defines and describes the basic terms of the thesis such as word, vocabulary, adopting words from foreign languages, adopted words and the ways of accepting such words and also the changes that may occur when the words from foreign languages are adopting. The practical part deals with the analysis of foreign words in selected textbooks of national history and geography. Based on this analysis, a research part of the thesis is being developed, which finds out the understanding of foreign words among the pupils in the first degree of elementary school by using a quantitative method, a questionnaire.
