Automation of WMS’ processes

Abstract:

Celá práce se věnuje popisu jednotlivých procesů spojené s automatizací logistických procesů ve skladu. V práci je uvedeno, jednotlivé způsoby automatizace a komunikace s WMS softwary. Dále pak pojednává o navrhnutém automatizovaném řešení pro firmu eD system, která v kooperaci společně s firmou E Linkx a Vertiflex, automatizuje svůj sklad. Cílem bakalářské práce je navrhnout změny procesů související s problematikou skladové logistiky ve firmě. Záměrem návrhu je ušetřit náklady na lidskou práci a zefektivnit podnikové procesy. Práce bude vycházet z analýzy procesů a přínosů pro jednotlivé strany, možností zavedení polo/automatických strojů Poté dojde k návrhu úpravy procesů ve vazbě na WMS systém s integrací těchto strojů formou UML diagramů a jejich mapování na jednotlivé části informačních systémů, které se na procesu podílejí. Závěrem práce bude prezentováno řešení, vyhodnocené přínosy, rizika a vytvořená základní SWOT analýza.

Abstract:

The whole thesis is devoted to the description of individual processes associated with the automation of logistics processes in the warehouse. In the thesis it is presented the individual methods of automation and communication with WMS software. Furthermore, it discusses the proposed automated solution for the company eD system, which in cooperation with E Linkx and Vertiflex, automates its warehouse. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to propose process changes related to the issue of warehouse logistics in the company. The intention of the proposal is to save human labour costs and to make the business processes more efficient. The thesis will be based on the analysis of the processes and benefits for the different parties, the possibility of introducing semi/automatic machines Then the proposal will be made to modify the processes in relation to the WMS system with the integration of these machines in the form of UML diagrams and their mapping to the different parts of the information systems involved in the process. Finally, the thesis will present the solution, the evaluated benefits, risks and the basic SWOT analysis created.
