This bachelor's thesis focuses on two varieties of French language in Canada: Joual and Acadian French. In the first part of work, we intend to explain the status of Canadian French from the historical and social points of view. Bakalářská diplomová práce soustředí pozornost na podobu francouzského jazyka na severoamerickém kontinentě, a to konkrétně na žual a na akadskou francouzštinu. V první části práce hodláme vysvětlit situaci kanadské francouzštiny jak z hlediska historického tak sociálního.
