The Workforce Management in Baťa Enterprise

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je popis procesů řízení a optimalizace výroby a práce dílenských pracovníků v podniku Baťa v meziválečném období a zhodnocení jejich vlivu na faktickou výkonnost podniku. Teoretická část se věnuje oblastem kalkulací, rozpočetnictví, nákladového účetnictví a mzdových soustav, jak je chápe teorie tehdejší doby, a organizaci, řízení a normování práce vycházejícím především z praxe F. W. Taylora, F. B. Gilbretha a H. Forda. Praktická část zahrnuje popis všech výše zmíněných oblastí uplatňovaných ve firmě Baťa a dalších specifických prvků řízení ovlivňujících výkonnost pracovníků. V závěru práce jsou pak procesy řízení a optimalizace výroby a lidské práce v podniku Baťa srovnány se soudobými zahraničními systémy, komplexně shrnuty a zhodnoceny.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis is to describe the processes of the production and the workforce management and optimization in the Baťa enterprise during the interwar period and to evaluate their impact on the real performance of the company. The theoretical part is devoted to the areas of calculation, budgeting, cost accounting and wage payment systems from the perspective of the theory of that time, and work organization, management and standardization based especially on practices of F. W. Taylor, F. B. Gilbreth and H. Ford. The practical part describes all the above-mentioned areas which were applied in the Baťa enterprise too and other specific elements of its management which had an influence on the workforce productivity. The last two chapters deal with a comparison of the Baťa´s processes of the production and the workforce management and optimization with the contemporary foreign management systems and provide an overall summary and evaluation of the Baťa´s processes.
