Práce se zabývá klíčovými sociálními a kulturními aspekty, které ovlivňují osobnostní rozvoj ženské hrdinky v chicanské literatuře konce 20. století. Zásadní roli v psychickém dozrávání protagonistek hrají genderové, etnické a socioekonomické faktory. The aim of this thesis is to examine the role of gender, ethnicity, and class as the crucial social and cultural forces which influence female self-development in Chicana literature of the late 20th century.
