Analysis of the Market for Payment Cards in CR, Trends, Opportunities, Limits

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou trhu platebních karet v ČR, ¨ jejich vývojovými trendy, možnostmi a limity. Cílem práce je analyzovat dopady novelizace zákona o platebním styku na bankovní subjekty a spotřebitele. V teoretické části je popsán český karetní trh, včetně jeho vývoje. Zároveň je zde věnován prostor bezpečnosti platebních karet. Praktická část je rozdělena do dvou oblastí zkoumání. V prvé části jsou analyzovány dopady novelizace zákona do výnosů a nákladů bankovních subjektů. Ve druhé části je zkoumán vliv novelizace zákona na cenovou nabídku vytypovaných služeb, u vybraných obchodních bank, a na klienty.

Abstract:

This thesis analyzes market with payment cards in Czech Republic, their trends, possibilities and limits. The goal is to analyze the impact of amendment to the Law of Payments to the banking institutions and clients. At the same time there is a space dedicated to the security of payment cards. The theoretical part describes Czech cards market, including its development. The practical part is devided in two areas of research. In the first part a nalyzes the impact of amendments to the Law to the revenues and expenses of banking subjects. The second part is researched the influence of amendments to the Law, to the selected fees of banking services, on selected commercial banks, and on clients.
