Analysis of grants from the Department for Regional Development to NGOs

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je teoretické vymezení neziskového sektoru a činnosti Ministerstva pro místní rozvoj. Dále, v rámci analytické části práce, hlubší analýza dotací tohoto ministerstva, kdy je rozsah analýzy zúžen na reprezentativní subjekt nestátního neziskového sektoru – Horskou službu o.p.s.. Hlavním cílem této analýzy, je bližší zkoumání toho, kam tyto finance putují a zdali je platný náš výchozí předpoklad (hypotéza) toho, že jsou tyto prostředky využívány ku prospěchu společnosti. V návaznosti na toto téma je v rámci analytické části, zmíněn také společenský přesah těchto financí. Závěr práce zdůrazňuje důležitost neziskového sektoru a subjektů sem spadajících, kdy přímo naráží na zjištěný společenský přesah Horské služby. Hypotéza práce nebyla přímo vyvrácena ani potvrzena, nicméně jsou zde zmíněny možné vylepšení v této oblasti a zároveň poznatky z rozboru finančních prostředků poskytnutých Ministerstvem pro místní rozvoj.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is the theoretical definition of the non-profit sector and the activities of the Ministry for Regional Development. Furthermore, within the analytical part of the thesis, a deeper analysis of the subsidies of this ministry, when the scope of the analysis is narrowed to a representative non-profit organization – Horská služba o.p.s.. The main purpose of this analysis is to investigate more precisely where these finances are going and whether our assumption, that these funds are being used for the benefit of society, is valid. As a follow-up to this topic, the social overlaps of these finances are also mentioned within the analytical part. The conclusion of the work emphasizes the importance of the non-profit sector and the legal entities there, when it directly hits the established confederal overlap of Horská služba. The hypothesis was not directly refuted or confirmed, however, there are mentioned possible improvements in this area, as well as findings from the analysis of the funds provided by the Ministry for Regional Development.
