Práce na příkladech z Farmy zvířat a 1984 od George Orwella a Andělů zoufalství od Jacka Kerouacka zjišťuje, zda-li mají samizdatové překlady nějaké specifické znaky. Každé dílo je porovnáno s oficiálním, většinou porevolučním překladem, pouze v případě 1984 se jedná o překlad, který vznikl v souběžně s tím samizdatovým a dostal se do země nelegálně z Německa. Abstract:
The thesis seeks to describe any specifics of samizdat translations, to be found in the translations of George Orwell's Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four and a frag-ment of Jack Kerouac's Desolation Angels. Each of these works is compared to the official translation, usually post-revolution, however in the case of Nineteen Eighty-Four the translation was created around the same time and came from …more
