The attitude of various age groups to dental hygiene

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce řeší problematiku ústní hygieny u lidí různých věkových skupin. Část teoretická přibližuje odlišnosti v průběhu tří životních etap, zabývá se patologickými stavy v ústech a popisuje odlišnosti práce s pacienty různého věku. Praktická část je zaměřena na dotazníkové šetření v souvislosti se znalostmi ústní hygieny, informovanosti, užívanými pomůckami ústní hygieny a povědomí o dentální hygieně. Ze šetření vyplývá, že mezi skupinami je velká rozdílnost ve vztahu k dentální hygieně, starší osoby výrazně nepřistupují k návštěvám dentální hygienistky tak, jako osoby mladší.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of oral hygiene among people of different age groups. The theoretical part describes differences during the three stages of life, deals with pathological conditions in the mouth and describes differences between working with patients of all ages. The practical part is focused on the questionnaire in connection with the knowledge of oral hygiene, information, the used tools and awareness of dental hygiene. The survey shows that there is a large difference between groups in the attitude to dental hygiene, older people significantly do not approach to visit the dental hygienist as much as younger persons.
