Adult homosexual sons evaluations of the relationship with their father

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce - Hodnocení vztahu s otcem u dospělých homosexuálních synů, se zabývá otázkou jestli je rozdíl v hodnocení mezi skupinou homosexuálních a heterosexuálních mužů v hodnocení otce. V teoretické části jsme se seznámili s faktory, které utváří vztah otce a syna, význam otce pro syna, roli otce a problematiku homosexuality. Na základě této teoretické části byly zkoumány dvě hypotézy, a to že homosexuální muži budou hodnotit záporněji svůj vztah s otcem a hodnotit záporněji otce v tom jaký byl jako otec. První hypotéza se podařila prokázat, druhou hypotézu jsme zamítli. Prokázali jsme, že existuje rozdíl mezi homosexuálními a heterosexuálními muži, kdy homosexuální muži hodnotí záporněji svůj vztah s otcem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis, Evaluating the relationship with their father by adult homosexual sons, places the question whether there is a difference between the homosexual and heterosexual men in the assessment of their father. In the theoretical part, we learnt about the factors, that create the father-son relationship, the meaning of a father to a son, the role of a father and the issue of homosexuality. Based on this theoretical part, we examined two hypotheses: that homosexual men will assess their relationship with their father in a more negative way and that they will assess the father, as far as how he was, in a more negative way. The first hypothesis proved to be correct, the second one, though, we had to reject. We proved there is a difference between homosexual and heterosexual men, in homosexual men assessing their relationship with their father in a more negative way.
