This thesis contains an analysis and comparison of the plays Hospoda Na mýtince and Švestka by the authors of the Divadlo Járy Cimrmana with the English translations of these plays performed by the Cimrman English Theatre. Tato závěrečná práce obsahuje analýzu a srovnání divadelních her Hospoda Na mýtince a Švestka od autorů Divadla Járy Cimrmana s anglickými překlady těchto her v provedení Cimrman English Theatre. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První, teoretická část se zabývá teorií překladu, slovní ekvivalencí, překladu divadelních her a překladu písní.
